Hi there, I'm writing my second post. I apologize for being so slow writing in the blog. Tonight I'm trying to write different things. The first one is "a delightful film"
One of my favourite film directors (almost my spanish favorite director) is the basque Julio Medem. All his films are very personnal, with lots of images to enjoy, with magic plots with a surrealistic interpretation. I reccomend you three of them (I'm sorry you won't be able to practice your English with them, but you will enjoy, I'm sure).
The first one is "La ardilla roja" ("the red squirrel"): a young man is in San Sebastian jetty to commit suicide, because his girlfriend leave him. Just in time before jumping over the rocks, a motorbike appears in the closest avenue going very quickly, the driver hits the handrail that separates the road from the beach, jumping over it and falling onto the sand in a 5 or 6 metres high fallen. The boy (Jota) runs injured in a leg (due to his kicks to a little wall when he tried to jump over the rocks) to help the person in the motorbike. The driver is a girl, and she have a terribly headache. The ambulance arrives and the nurseboys are confused, thinking Jota is the girl's boyfriend. He decides to go to hospital with her, and Jota notice she's amnesic after the strong hit....
Second one I want to reccomend you is "Tierra". The main character is a man who has to remove a plague in a vineyards. There, he mee two women (one married blonde, another single red-haired). He has a special kind of "double personality" with exagerate imagination, and each part of him wants one of the woman. Until the latest scene, you couldn't see at the end, which of the two woman travels to Portugal with him.
And the last film I reccomend about this director is "Los amantes del círculo polar" ("the lovers of polar circle"). This film talks about a strongly difficult love story that starts since they are young children in the school. Beatiful scenes, photography, music. A lot of poetry in this film.

From your synopsis they seem to be very interesting films. I'll try to watch one of them perhaps I would go for the last one. Thanks Oleguer.
ReplyDeleteHey Oleguer! I really like this director too, but my favourite LOS AMANTES DEL CÍRCULO POLAR. I haven't seen la ardilla roja yet and Tierra I don`t remember. The last one from him (caótica Anna) didn't like me that much.
